I worked with a visual designer to create a series of error messages as part of the QuickBooks Self-Employed design system giving designers the guidelines to think through in-product celebrations. The goal was to reduce user frustration when they encounter error messages for pages that can't be found or have been moved and provide a pathway out. I invoked Intuit's content mantra, "delight when it's right" to get users to crack a smile to take the pressure out of a potentially stressful point in the user's experience.
